When I was at primary school in the 1950s-1960s, these brown plastic sandals were what we wore in the warmer months on the Kapiti Coast. I see now that they were an excellent New Zealand product, but at the time I longed to have nice leather sandals like the other kids. I believe you can still buy these Kaydees sandals in Australia, and it looks like the design is still the same after all these decades.
